Padua Academy's Science Olympaid Team competed in the 2012 competition at Delaware State University. Two of our graduates placed in the Top 25. Congratulations to Alexis Ryan for placing 25th in Optics and Mimi Hrivnak for placing 3rd in Water Quality! Nice work Ladies!

Sophomore Vincent Vella was recently inducted into the Salesian Spirituality Commission at Salesianum. Within the commission, he will altar serve, read and become a Eucharistic Minister. This weekend, Vincent is headed to Laurel, Delaware to be inducted into the Order of the Arrow within Boy Scouts. Congratulations Vincent on these recent accomplishments. We are so proud of you!

The Padua Cross Country team faced tough competition against 21 other teams from throughout the state of Delaware.  The girls ran a smart tactical race in a field of 121 runners and kept a tight pack. Karlee Panella finished 6th place, leading the team to victory. Great Teamwork Karlee!


The Societa' daVinci organization has announced the final winners of their essay contest, "What does it mean to be Italian American in 2011?" and, "Why is your Italian heritage and culture important?"  Padua Academy's Renee Pedicone won first place and an award of $1,000. Congratulations Renee!


 Padua Academy Senior Lisa Luck's poem "Show Scheme" has been selected for publication in the 2011 Creative Communication Anthology, a celebration of today's young writers. This is the second time Lisa has received this honor for her poetry.


  Congratulations to Gabe Archangelo! Gabe was listed in the News Journal on July 31, 2011 as one of the "50 Who Matter: Gabriel Archangelo and his family have spent much of their lives  promoting policies and raising awareness to increase the rate of organ donation in Delaware."


Gabe has always been a wonderful volunteer for St. Anthony's. During the 2010-2011 school year,  St. Anthony's awarded Gabe for all of his generous contributions to our school and parish, with the distinguished title of Community Builder. We are blessed to have him representing St. Anthony's in his community volunteer work.
